The Witcher 4: Shove Aside Until 2022

The Witcher 3 was great but it looks like CD Projekt Red is still working on improving their game developing skill.

It has just been reveal that CD Projekt Red send in four proposals to the Polish Government in hopes of getting funds for R&D efforts related to city creation, seamless multiplayer, animation excellence, cinematic feel and more.

Well, they were granted all four funds which mean future games from CD Projekt Red should be even more impressive than what we have seen so far. We know that they are currently working on the new Cyberpunk 2077 and since the game is already under development, the results from the research will most likely not appear in the game.
So what is next after Cyberpunk 2077. Well, nobody knows but some fans are hoping that CD Projekt Red would go back to The Witcher Universe. CDPR made it clear that we will not be playing a Gerald anymore but that does not mean that we can explore more of the same universe right?

According to CDPR, the Cyberpunk 2077 will be arriving sometime in between 2017 – 2021 which means even if there is a new Witcher game, we will only be seeing it after 2022.
