iOS 7.1: Simple Tips To Get Better Battery Life

The latest iOS 7.1 might be a feature-packed and secure mobile system but it never did manage to improve the iPhones and iPads’ battery life. While users can’t plug out the battery of their device, they can still rely on some of our tips to get their device to last longer.

1. Any Damages?
First thing users should do is test the battery. Go to Settings > General > Usage and jot down the current usage stats. Put the device into sleep for 5mins before checking again. The standby time should increase to 5mins. If not, there is clearly an issue with the device.

2. Running Apps
It seems that keeping apps closed will only drain the battery faster. The iOS functions in a way that when an app is being used, all the other apps in the background will be stopped entirely. As such, make sure a lightweight app is running to get better battery performance.

3. Adjust Brightness
This is by far the biggest culprit in every battery drain cases. The only time you need full brightness is when you are directly under the sun. When in indoors, keep the brightness at its lowest possible to achieve a better battery life.
