HTC One Android 4.4 KitKat Update Closes In

Owners of the HTC One have been lucky enough to get fast updates for Android, while owners of the Moto X have been in front, those with the flagship HTC device cannot complain.

The Sprint version of the HTC One started to get KitKat 4.4 two weeks back and then owners of the HTC One with Verizon saw the update heading their way too last week. While updates for the HTC One have been slow in the US, thanks to many delays, HTC have said that all the carriers in the US should get the update this week.

This news came thanks to an Ask Me Almost Anything session which was held by the Vice president on Reddit. Martin Fichter along with Mohammed Versi and Leigh Momii gave answers to questions which were in relation to the North American sector.

When they were asked about the update for the HTC One on T-Mobile they said “It’s with T-Mobile now in the final steps of certification, and you should see it start to push within the next few days”.

When it came to the HTC One with AT&T they said “It’s in testing. I’ve asked @htc to update anticipated push date early next week.”

At the moment we don’t have any information about the update status. However owners of the handset can keep checking in Settings – About Phone – Software updates.
