With the iPad 3 set to be officially unveiled in a few hours, retailers are prepping their stores for the biggest tablet launch in 2012 so far.
iPad 3 accessories hit Best Buy
Best Buy for one already appears to be stocking up on iPad 3 accessories, with a recent tip from PhoneArena stating that 3rd party iPad 3 case manufacturers have already shipped their products to the retailer. According to the source, the items were shipped to the retail chain in boxes bearing a pink sticker saying “Do not display until official iPad 3 launch.”
The report also adds that these weren’t tiny shipments: “The shipment is not of just a few cases — there’s over 1,000 Targus Versavu 360 stands for the next-gen iPad shipping to Best Buy, meaning that it won’t be long until the actual tablet hits shelves.”
These details tie in with the photos that were leaked from Best Buy last week (pic is below) which showed us that they would have iPad 3 accessories in stock on Sunday, March 11. One of the listed products included the Zagg’s InvisibleSHIELD which is a popular protector that uses patented materials to entirely enclose your device but is transparent so doesn’t hide anything.
