Well that was quick. Instead of waiting for MWC 2012 in a couple of days, LG has gone ahead and unveiled 3 Android smartphones already. Joining the recently announced LG Optimus Vu and Optimus 3D is now the Optimus 4X HD. Check out the juicy details below.
LG Optimus 4X HD: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Tegra 3, HD display
The LG Optimus 4X HD boasts a 4.7-inch IPS HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, 16GB internal storage, 2150mAh battery, and will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Now if you’ve been following our stories about NVIDIA’s quad-core processors, you will be aware that its architecture refers to a 5th companion core that they are calling “4-PLUS-1.” This extra core which technically makes it a 5-core device allows the companion core to save battery during activities that do not need heavy processing. So we are looking at good battery life here.
According to the press release, the LG 4X HD should hit Europe first in Q2 2012. While the US release date still remains a mystery, all eyes are on T-Mobile to snag it (successor to the LG G2X?)
