The latest Resident Evil 6 is the last straw and the fans are tired of the action-oriented gameplay introduced to the franchise since Resident Evil 4. Capcom has certainly killed the series by doing away with the horror genre.
Now, Resident Evil 7 is already in the makings and the fans are still protesting. Perhaps the Resident Evil community should just give it a rest. Instead of forcing the game developer, some fans are calling for a remake of the series’ first trilogy.
One fan pointed out that games today requires long playing hours. As such, having the trilogy squeezed into a single game should be possible and will definitely answer to the fans’ demands.
On the other hand, some features from the second trilogy can make an entry in the game. The weapons equip and upgrade system seen in Resident Evil 5 is certainly something positive and should be added in this remake. In addition to that, the latest Resident Evil 6’s gameplay mechanics have been pretty great and worth a spot in the remake.
There is also the highly anticipated Sony PS4’s Virtual Reality headset. Imagine seeing yourself in the game with this headset. That will certainly enhance the horror experience.
All in all, a remake idea will do nothing but greatness for this successful franchise. If there is to be a great Resident Evil game, it should be with this remake.
