iOS 7 Update Wreaks Havoc On iPad & iPhone Older Models

One question that fans of iOS ask is if iOS 7 has slowed down the Apple iPad or the iPhone, more so the devices that only have 512MB of RAM. Owners of devices have been complaining about issues with multi-tasking when installing iOS 7 on some of the older handsets.

One of the issues with multi-tasking on the iPhone and iPad that users have to face, along with being sluggish, is that the page refreshes when the owner moves to another app. When they go back to the first app instead of not showing the part of the page which has been scrolled down to, the app instead refreshes and the page has to be scrolled down again.

This issue is very annoying of course when people have typed info on the page, or when a user opens the iBook app and then goes onto another app and goes back, the book then has to be opened again.

It seems that this issue is seen on older handsets, which include the Apple iPhone 4 along with the iPhone 4S. Owners of the iPad face this issue too, more so with owners of the iPad 2. Not all owners have issues it seems and some are able to do multi-tasking without any issue.

One way round this is to make the update from iOS 7 to iOS 7.0.3. This seems to solve the issue with some owners while not for others. Apple keep launching updates to iOS from time to time and this helps to remedy bugs and issues which some owners have been complaining about.

One reason why owners have issues is due to the low specs on some older handsets, which is down to the amount of RAM. Limited memory could also limit handsets along with having multiple apps open, as these can slow down the handset.

So iOS 7 might not be the best solution for some of the older iOS devices and it seems that those who own them who have been having issues, have traded them in for a newer handset. Whether Apple will offer a fix for this is anyone’s guess, if not users may not have an alternative but to update, which of course would suit Apple.
