Ever since Rockstar released that update – the one that halved the income from repeated missions – GTA 5 players have been looking for more good earners. The company wanted people to start exploring other missions, but the players just wanted to make the bucks.
Some players said this was a lever to make players start using real-world money!
The players are smarter than that, though, and they’ve found several ways to earn megamoney in the game. There’s an underwater area west of Los Santos, where there’s some money stashed. Go in as one character, grab the dosh, then switch character for a minute. Revert to the character that picked up the money, and you’ll find that the money has reappeared. If you do this 80 times (yes, really), you’ll make a million!
You can sell stolen cars to Simeon, but these cars have to be special. You’ll get a list of vehicles from Simeon, so pick one out, steal it and sell it to the man himself. Don’t damage the car or it’ll lose value. This is a quick way to earn some money, but not much. For big bucks, rob one of the armoured trucks that you see on the streets of Los Santos. Stop one, off the driver, blow up the back door with a C4 bomb or a gun, and you’ll bag $5,000.
There’s also a cheat in GTA Online that’ll bag you $5 million in an hour. However, using cheats does take away the opportunity to get trophies and achievements for your current game. If you want the trophies, you’ll have to reset. This cheat is still going strong even after the 1.09 update, so if you’re interested in trying it out, watch this YouTube video and get earning.
