Twitch Play Pokemon Is Turning Into Largest Pokemon Experiment Ever

The price of being involved in one of the greatest and biggest Pokemon experiments is high as Twitch Plays Pokemon is not for those who have faint hearts.

Fans of Pokemon will no doubt have come across the Twitch Plays Pokemon Channel. This is where thousands of gamers have met to take part in what has been called the biggest Pokemon experiment to date. The Safari zone has been completed and in just 8 days it is looking as though the Elite Four will be beaten. Of course we expected the game to be completed, but no one thought that memes would arrive. Now it seems that the Pokemon that people have come to love and know are showing off their true colours.

Gamers complete Pokemon Red or Blue and get all the eight badges, beat the Elite Four and of course catch as many Pokemon as they can. However when take a look at the timeline of Twitch Plays Pokemon you could be forgiven for thinking that the website is following foretold scripture. Things have been getting very serious, with the Helix Fossil, Bird Jesus and Flareon the heathen.

Some of the events seemed to be minor when first taking a look but actually these have been crucial choices. Abby, the Charmander made him the chosen one, while getting hold of Pidgey meant that we could get Bird Jesus. But it seems that one very important event happens after the fourth gym.

A water Pokemon would be needed by the team so that they could use Surf later on and the Twitch team managed to get a Water Stone for their Eevee, otherwise known as The False Prophet. But instead the team chose to buy a Fire Stone and this turned their Eevee into Flareon. Twitch Plays Pokemon did make a huge mistake though as they released Abby along with Jay Leno and Rattata. The Flareon was also released as punishment.

The battle with the Bird Jesus and Giovanni was a tearful one as he didn’t make it, Giovanni just needed one hit and the Twitch Plays Pokemon gang mistakenly used a no-damaging move against it.

Some of the stages of the game have been hard to complete, Lavender Town and Pokemon Tower being two, but it seems that most of the blame is down to Raticate. Known as Dig Rat, the team mistakenly chose Dig after they made progress and forced everyone at the beginning of the Tower. The latest accomplishment of the team is that they have completed the Safari zone. They used the democracy system and allowed users to put a vote on the next move. The Twitch Pokemon players managed to get past the step limit of the zone. Some thought that the Surf HM would be the most difficult; this was due to the fact that the game had not been designed to support thousands of people offering input for controls. However by day 8 Safari zone had been completed.
