The Xiaomi Mi 3 has been making a name for itself as it managed to perform better than the Samsung Galaxy S4, while costing lesser than the Google Nexus 5. Let’s see how it compares with the newer Samsung Galaxy S5.
In terms of display, the Mi 3 has a slightly smaller screen. Its 5” glass panel is able to run at 441ppi. The S5’s 5.1” display can only produce 432ppi.
However, it is the S5 that is the faster device. The Korean smartphone is powered by the latest 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The Mi 3 is not that far behind as it runs on the slightly older 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor. The China device has a similar RAM size and GPU.
Even on camera, the Mi 3 is not far behind the S5. The former is equipped with a 13MP rear and 2MP front cameras whereas the latter has a powerful 16MP rear and 2.1MP front shooter.
Obviously, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the better device. The smartphone comes with tons of features like 4G connectivity, water proof, dust proof, fingerprint scanner and many more. Then again, it is also worth considering that the Xiaomi Mi 3 cost about a-third of the S5’s price tag.
