Hyundai has just released a few new details about their upcoming Hyundai Ioniq. According to Hyundai, the Hyundai Ioniq will be offering a range of 124miles when it arrives.
While it is not bad, Hyundai also made it clear that they are looking to offer more and that the 124miles is just a start. According to Ahn Byung-ki, the director of Hyundai’s eco-vehicle performance group, the 124miles will soon be outshined by a much more impressive 200miles model as 124miles is just not going to be enough if they plan to take on the other EV models in the market.
He also added that the Ioniq EV with the longer range will be arriving in 2018 which means that will be very little gap between the 124miles model and the 200miles model.
Besides the EV model, the Hyundai Ioniq will also come with a plug-in hybrid version as well as a standard hybrid model.
