The thing is that CDPR made it pretty clear that the Blood and Wine DLC will be the last time we will be playing as the Witcher Geralt but then again, we know that Geralt is not the only Witcher left in the Witcher universe.
Some fans were hoping that CDPR would revisit the game once more once they are done with the Cyberpunk 2077 game but is that possible? There has been speculation that we might get to play as Ciri in the next game. With her abilities and her Witcher skill, we can see why the fans think that she will be a great protagonist but it is all up to CDPR right now.
Even if they do decide to make a new CDPR game, we might have to wait until after 2020 before we actually see or hear something. We know that CDPR is aiming to release their Cyberpunk 2077 game in between 2017 to 2021. Even if they complete the game this year, it will take a few more years before they will have something from the next Witcher game to show.
