The 2016 XV Crosstrek & Subaru Impreza Inspired By WRX Concept

2-years ago, Subaru unveiled the WRX Concept and it truly looked enticing. However, the final product became a major let down for the fans as the car looks nothing like the Concept.

After enduring so much criticism, Subaru finally broke their silence and address the matter by talking about the upcoming XV Crosstrek and the next Impreza. For starters, Subaru claims that both vehicles will be heavily inspired by the WRX Concept, which should turn the fans’ frown upside down.

The company’s chief designer, Mamoru Ishii, revealed that Subaru has taken he next-generation Impreza’s design in a new direction that will surely excite the marketplace. The lad further revealed that the upcoming vehicles will sport a wider hipline, more substantial stance and a narrow up roof section.

Aside from that, the 2016 Impreza will be coming with a lower chassis and a tapered greenhouse like the ones from the WRX Concept. The car will be built on the new modular chassis framework called the Subaru Global Platform.
