The Tesla Model 3 was supposed to come in as the most affordable and weakest model in the Tesla lineup but new reports are now suggesting that the Tesla Model 3 might end up being a threat to the Tesla Model S.
According to Electrek, Tesla is currently working on a new Inverter system that will help them transfer the energy from the battery to the motor more efficiently. They also added that the new inverter could match the system on the Tesla Model S.
It is believed that the new system will need fewer parts to work which means it might have fewer issues. If all of this ends up being true, will the arrival of the cheaper and smaller Tesla Model 3 affect the sales of the Tesla Model S? More than a hundred thousand models have been reserved now.
We can expect to see the new 2017 Tesla Model 3 late next year.
