The month of September saw two great smartphones getting released and they are the Sony Xperia Z3 and the Apple iPhone 6. Both devices are great but which is better?
The Z3, in particular, has that boxy design like its predecessors. It wears an aluminium body that houses a 5.2” screen which runs on 1080p resolution. The iPhone 6, on the other hand, has that sleek Apple design and it sports a 4.7” screen that operates at 1334x750p resolution.
Camera-wise, the Z3 has a 20.7MP rear and 2.2MP front shooters. The iPhone has an 8MP rear and 1.2MP front cameras. Pixel-wise, the Z3 is definitely better but in terms of image quality, the iPhone 6 is the champion.
Under the hood, the iPhone 6 is powered by the Apple A8 processor and runs on the iOS 8 out of the box. Meanwhile the Z3 operates on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat, which is powered by the Snapdragon quad-core processor.
In terms of storage, the iPhone 6 is offered with fixed memory of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. The Z3 comes with 16GB built-in and it has added microSD support of up to 128GB. If price is to be based on the storage space, then the iPhone 6 16GB retails at $700, $100 more than the Z3.
Judging by the specs above, we have to name the Z3 as the winner in this contest. It has a faster processor, sharper display and also, external storage support. Then again, the iPhone 6 is still a great device as the iOS 8 allows better software to hardware integration.
