The Sony Xperia Z2 is truly a remarkable smartphone. Not only did it kill the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Z2 also re-defined quality. Now that the LG G3 has arrived in the scene, will the Z2 be able to keep on its hot streak?
Looking at the display, the Z2 has a 5.2” screen that produces 424ppi. This is nowhere near as sharp as the 538ppi produced by the G3’s 5.5” QHD screen. Then again, the larger screen on the latter also meant that its 3,000mAh battery will drain faster. The Z2 can remain operational for days with its larger 3,200mAh battery.
In terms of speed, both devices are on equal footing as they are both powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU.
When it comes to photography, the Z2 has a whopping 20.7MP rear camera and 2.2MP front shooter. The G3 has an average 13MP rear camera and 2.1MP front shooter.
Obviously, the Sony Xperia Z2 is still the best smartphone this year, so far. While it might not have QHD resolution, the fact that it is able to last longer, offer better cameras and are built to be both water and dust proof is enough to slay the LG G3.
