Sony Xperia Devices Will Get Some Exclusive Android 4.4.4 KitKat Features

Sony has been dropping out hints that Sony Xperia owners are going to get KitKat 4.4.4 and owners of the Xperia X, SP, T, TX and V would be getting 4.4.4. It was said that they would be able to welcome features that had been seen on the Sony Xperia Sirius along with the Z1. Features are said to include two new UIs along with camera modes and battery managers.

We did see the interface of the Sony Sirius leak and the photo showed a home screen that was simple. It showed that there was some icon changes along with the battery icon and icons in the status bar.

Jelly Bean 4.3 came out and with it came Smart Social apps, the new UI and camera modes. The exclusive features could include Timeshift video along with Background Defocus.

With the smart app came a Close All button, this was one part of the Recent Apps along with Smart Backlight. This is similar to what owners of the Samsung Galaxy handsets get with Smart Stay. Kitkat 4.4.4 has support for double tap to wake and white balance.

The Sony Xperia Sirius offers new sound options, audio accessory support and high resolution audio. It also comes with the xLoud engine, Clear audio and S Force audio.

There are plenty of customisation choices when it comes to the notifications on the status bar. KitKat offers better power management along with location Wi-Fi and background data that is queued.

It was said that the first device to be updated would be the Sony Xperia Z2, then the Sony Xperia SP, T, TX and V follows with Android 4.4.4.
