Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 vs Galaxy Note 3: Jumbo vs Epic

The phablet market is literally owned by Samsung as its larger devices beats out all its competitors in every field. Both the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 came with plenty of extras that appeal to consumers worldwide. In spite of that, we have compared both phablets to find out, which is better?

For starters, the entry level Galaxy Note 3 costs $545, which is more than the $415 price tag on the Galaxy mega 6.3. The former comes with a 5.7” screen that offers 386ppi whereas the latter’s 6.3” display only comes with 233ppi.

Both the Note 3 and the Mega is equipped with a 3,200mAh battery. However, the Note 3 is able to last longer, thanks to the Android 4.4 KitKat. The Mega is still stuck with Android 4.2.2 Jellybean.

Also, the Note 3 is the faster of the two. The 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB RAM certainly serves the phablet well. The Mega is stuck with the lower end Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.5GB RAM>

It seems that the Galaxy Mega 6.3 is merely a mid-tier device in the phablet market. Even when costing $130 more, the Note 3 surely has a lot more to offer to its users. As such, it is not a bad decision to splurge on the Note 3.
