When Capcom released the Resident Evil 4, they also introduced the new quick time events and while the game itself was great, the fans were not too excited about the whole quick time event.
However, Capcom seems to be loving it as they brought it back for the next two games. Luckily, they have no announced that the new Resident Evil 7 game will not be coming with the quick time event.
Capcom made it clear that they want to go back to the basic for the new Resident Evil 7 game and that includes putting the players into the shoes of a regular person and not some superhero.
They also decided to scale down the game significantly. It looks like it has also been confirmed that the new game will be called Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.
We know that the new game will be set after Resident Evil 6 and it will be interesting to see how Capcom ties this game to the previous Resident Evil games.
