The start of this year was an exciting one for the fans of the Prince of Persia franchise. The tweet that suggested that there might be a new Prince of Persia had us thinking that Ubisoft is looking to announce a new Prince of Persia game this year.
While Ubisoft did make a Prince of Persia announcement this year, it was only about offering it for free to celebrate their anniversary. Ubisoft was at E3 when they announced that the Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time will be offered for free for a full month.
There was no Prince of Persia announcement after that and by now, most fans have already given up on waiting for an announcement about a new Prince of Persia game. Previous rumor suggests that the next Prince of Persia game is going to be a 2D game like Rayman.
