US Pokemon players are still waiting for the Pokebank. The recent crash of the servers at the previous attempt has made Nintendo delay the second attempt until the servers are stable enough to handle it.
Some Japanese players have got copies of Pokebank, but the rest of the world is waiting for the announcement from the developer.
Right now, the eShop says the Pokebank is TBC, or pending. US Pokemon players aren’t happy about the lack of timeframe from Nintendo. The company is famously poor at giving American players information.
There’s usually an announcement two days before a release, and the Pokemon players think they won’t even get notice.
This is probably to avoid the servers crashing again, especially as players are supposed to race one another to get the Pokebank. There’ll be very high traffic as the players try to get to the bank at the same time.
Nintendo might do a surprise release to prevent a server crash. Players need to be constantly monitoring the eShop so that when the Pokebank becomes available, you’re on the case. It’s also a good idea to see what’s going on in Japan.
It’s highly likely that Nintendo will release in Japan before the US, so once it’s out in Japan, get ready…
