Minecraft is undoubtedly one of the greatest gaming titles in history. Soon, things will get a whole lot bigger for the franchise as Telltale is confirmed to be developing Minecraft: Story Mode.
The standalone title won’t be like the existing open-world sandbox game. Instead, Minecraft: Story Mode will come with a plot for players to take part in. The title is going to be a new separate series that is based on the world of Minecraft and it will be making its debut in 2015 across all platforms.
However, the story won’t be about the generic character in the original Minecraft named Steve. Instead, it will be about a wholesome of characters that will offer something uniquely different in Minecraft: Story Mode.
Unfortunately, there is no telling on how the gameplay will be like. Since it is developed by Telltale, gamers can start taking hints from the game developer’s other title, The Walking Dead. However, it is wrong to think of Minecraft: Story Mode as something eerie since Mojang Studio promised that the game will be family-oriented.
All in all, it is certainly an exciting time ahead for Minecraft fans worldwide. Instead of lingering around the plot-less world of Minecraft, players will get to engage in a storyline that is full of interesting things to offer.
