Gamers who played the highly popular title, Minecraft, are about to get a treat from Twitch and Mojang. It was announced today at MineCon, Orlando that Minecraft will have a new feature added onto the game. The game developers have created a new partnership and will bring broadcasting functionality to the Minecraft game.
Such addition to the title is known as ‘Twitch’. With the addition, gamers can then share videos of their gameplay through the Twitch channel. Instead of doing screenshots, gamers can opt for video shots while playing that can be used as guide to newbies or even just for the sake of collecting moments throughout the game.
The Twitch will be offered to both PC and Mac computers. Marketing Vice-President for Twitch, Matthew DiPietro reveals that Twitch will not be tedious or troublesome to be used. The release date for the feature is still unknown but we can expect it to come soon.
Minecraft is not the only game to have Twitch support. Many other games across all platforms too have Twitch support. It seems that soon, we might have a ‘Youtube’ for gamers.
