Microsoft has never confirmed that they are working on a new Surface Phone but that seems to be what everybody believes right now. The fact is that we still have no clue about what Microsoft is looking to do in the future but we do know that they are working on a new smartphone.
In fact, new Microsoft patent files suggest that the future Microsoft smartphone could come with a foldable design. Based on the images, it looks like Microsoft is working on a device with a flexible hinge and display that would allow it to go from being a smartphone to a tablet.
Of course, this is just one of the many patents that Microsoft have filed in the past so it does not mean that a phone like this will be coming soon but the idea itself is pretty interesting.
To get the attention of the consumers, Microsoft will need something like this to turn their heads around.
