The upcoming popular title Mass Effect 4 will not feature the main character Shepherd along with his companion at all. Game developer BioWare announced that the previous trilogy is over and a new story with new characters will be in place.
Marc Walters, lead writer for the successful Mass Effect 3, revealed that the studio wants a new storyline that has no relation whatsoever to the trilogy. While Mass Effect for is going for a new face, Walters assures fans that everything about Mass Effect will stay the same. The game develop make it really important to maintain the game’s identity.
The title for the next entry game can also cause a turn off. BioWare admitted that the Mass Effect 4 title will cause more problems than good. The game developer is worried that fans might expect a continuity from the Mass Effect trilogy.
In regards to Mass Effect 3, the game developer will look to address the criticism it got from the games ending and will release a DLC to fix it. However don’t expect much as the team is much more focused on the Mass Effect 4.
