It is no secret that Commander Shepard has been retired after the epic conclusion in Mass Effect 3. With Mass Effect 4 being anticipated all over, many would be caught wondering what it will be about.
Mac Walters, lead writer for the entire Mass Effect series, revealed that Mass Effect 4 will be a fresh new start of a new storyline. It is safe to assume that Commander Shepherd will not be around, along with his companions. Marc Walters also assured us that the game will not lose its core. It could be the gameplay and the environment of mass effects the writer was talking about. He further stated that one thing will not change is the identity of the game. Now that clears a little bit of the smoke. So what kind of storyline will it be about?
The First Mass Effect title was set in the year 2183. If it is going to be a new start, we might see the game set at some time earlier than 2183 or a much more futuristic time than that. While losing key characters can cause quite the heartache, we all do hope that the game developer will not cause much of a change to the locations. Doing so will give gamers a hard time adapting to a totally new game.
