Even though the first Marvel: Avengers Alliance game did pretty well, the sequel did not and it was easy to see why Disney would decide to ax it but some people believe that it wasn’t the end for the Marvel game.
After the poor response, it is believed that Disney might have wanted to kill off the game so that they can start fresh with a new Marvel game. With Marvel gaining so much attention lately, it would be a surprise if Disney ignored it all together.
Of course, Disney has never indicated that Marvel game is in the making. All they said was that they canceled the game so that they can spend their time and resources on something better.
While the cancellation of the Marvel game did not anger the fans, the cancellation of Disney Infiniti did. There are speculations that Disney might be trying to stop making games and focus only on licensing them in the future.
