The latest LG G3 is truly a revolutionary device. It is the first mainstream device to run on QHD resolution and it automatically makes the masses forget about the Samsung smartphones. With the latter lining up the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in the coming weeks, will it be able overpower the G3?
Well, the answer is no. LG had just unveiled the new 6” QHD panel during the Society for Information Display’s (SID) Display Week 2014 in San Francisco and the future looks more awesome than ever.
The 6” screen will come with a pixel density of 491ppi which is so much sharper than the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8. Furthermore, LG will be aiming for 500ppi for all its devices very soon from now. Furthermore, LG is looking at 600 and 700ppi in two or three years’ time.
If this is true, then the G3 is nothing more than the tip of the iceberg. LG further claims that they have the resources to achieve all of these goals. This is something that other phone manufacturers lack.
The G3 is already a huge obstacle for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to tackle but the tables are tilting to LG’s favour in the long run. Will Samsung be able to keep up?
