LG has confirmed that the Android 5.0 Lollipop will be launched to the G3 first but the South Korean tech giant failed to share on when the update is going to happen. On the other hand, G3 users can refer to a statement made by French carrier, SFR.
The telecommunications company shared that LG is currently upgrading its UI and when that is ready, there is no stopping them from launching the Android 5.0 Lollipop for the LG G3 on a global scale. At the moment, the latest OS from Google has already been launched for the G3 in Poland and South Korea.
SFR concluded their statement by saying that the Android 5.0 Lollipop for the G3 is already in their hands and they are waiting for the UI update. It is understood that LG will be passing around the latter in the coming days and once that is done, SFR can proceed to pushing out the update accordingly.
If SFR’s claims are true, then G3 users can look forward to receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop by next week. There is no better way for LG G3 users to start the month of February then to enjoy the sweet taste of the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
