We know that automakers are still trying to avoid offering their diesel powered models here in the US but that does not mean that it does not sting when they do something like that.

According to Kia, their new Kia Stinger will be coming with a diesel engine option but the engine will only be offered in Europe. The diesel model will be powered by a 2.2-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder that will be offering about 197hp. It will need8.5 seconds to go from 0-62mph and has a top speed of 140mph.

The US market will be getting the other two gasoline engine including the 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinders and the 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 engine. The top of the range 3.3-liter engine will return about 370hp and 376lb ft of torque and will need 5.1 seconds to go from 0-62mph.

All engine options will be mated to an eight-speed auto transmission.
