A new bug has been spotted on both the iPhone 5s and the iPad Air. The bug is reported to be lingering in the social media application, Twitter. It affects users when trying to upload and share photos on the popular website.
According to an article on GottabeMobile, it is still unknown where the bug came from. It could be from the iOS 7 itself or from the respective devices. Apple Store suggests that it is probably a firmware problem where the solution is to just wait for future iOS updates to get it resolved. Both the iPhone 5s and the iPad Air are closely developed and release about the same period of time which also suggests that it could be a defect on the iOS 7 and the firmware installed on the mentioned devices.
Users from the tech blogosphere have been loud on the matter with some attempting to find a fix in the phone itself. It is weird to learn that the bug doesn’t quite cause a mess on the device’s functions. It is just limiting the Twitter users. Speaking of which, it is quite recently when Twitter rolled out its update to its iOS 7 app.
Surprisingly, the update fixed the issue hinting that the bug itself is actually Twitter’s problem. However, it now seems that another function got affected. Adding location on the picture along with sending the tweet is now impossible. GottabeMobile added that when turning off location service, everything work as it should but it is deemed to be temporary as the problem continues to persist. The same method was also attempted on the iPad Air and it works.
The bug, while not causing quite a chaotic outcry from the masses, can be really annoying, especially to the many hardcore Twitter users. One thing we can hope for now is a response from Apple on the matter.
