Many might wonder on what is taking Bethesda so long to produce Fallout 4. Some might blame it on the game engine while others claim that the game developer is out of ideas for the highly anticipated sequel.
Now, rumours have surfaced suggesting that the real reason behind the long delay to Fallout 4’s release is because of an online mode that is coming with it. This is evident if Fallout fans are to study on how Bethesda handled the Elder Scrolls series.
Of course, both the Elder Scrolls franchise and the Fallout franchise are two different entities but they have a lot of similarities in terms of offerings. After releasing many successful sequels, Bethesda decided to produce Elder Scrolls Online to treat the fans to a different gaming experience in the same world of Elder Scrolls.
If the pattern is to be followed for the Fallout franchise, then Fallout 4 could be coming with an online multiplayer mode for the players to indulge on.
Then again, the fans have made it clear that they couldn’t accept it if multiplayer is forced on them. This is why the rumours have made it clear that Fallout Online will be a separate mode in the game, like how it is with Rockstar’s GTA 5.
The latter offered an outstanding storymode and the icing on the cake is with GTA Online which is offered together with the game. In fact, this Online Mode trend is picking up on many AAA gaming titles.
With that being said, it is highly likely for Fallout Online will be part of Fallout 4. Even so, this is still based on rumours so it is best to take it with a pinch of salt.
