E3: Uncharted 4 to Incorporate “Deeper and Richer” Gameplay

In a recent PlayStation.Blog interview with Naughty Dog’s Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann, it has been revealed that the newly unveiled game, ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ will incorporate “deeper and richer” gameplay in comparison to the other titles within the Uncharted franchise.

Both Bruce and Neil are ecstatic to go back to Uncharted to produce something “epic again” and free from the restrictions of the PlayStation 3′s hardware to produce an immersive game for Sony’s latest console, the PlayStation 4. Implementing many features that they wish they could do ever since the first Uncharted game was developed.

However, although they are both certain that the new iteration of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted will keep you invested throughout the whole game through seemingly gorgeous visuals and a compelling narrative, they have stressed that the game needs an outstanding foundation to really bring out what Uncharted has to offer. The team are hoping to explore many new ways to expand the core gameplay mechanics that has been established in their previous titles. Whether its new approaches to exploration, how Nathan Drake explores the environment to a more complex combat system with an increased size of move sets that the player can utilise within the game.

‘Uncharted 4: ‘Thief’s End’ is an action-adventure game exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and is set for a 2015 release.
