The development of the Dead Island 2 game started soon after the release of Dead Island due to the overwhelming response to the game but after so many years, we still have not seen anything from Deep Silver. Why is that?
Well, we know that the game has changed hands a few times now and while that should only affect the development time, nobody expected the delay to be that huge. Well, some people believe that the long delay could be because the developer decided to scrap all the work that the past developers has done and started fresh.
That includes a new story, a new mechanics and more. If that is really the case, that would explain why we have not seen anything yet. However, that will also mean that we might still have to wait for a couple more years before we can actually get our hands on Dead Island 2.
At least we know that the game is still being developed.
