Exactly a month ago, consumers were being treated to tons of promotions due to the festive Christmas period. Unfortunately, there is some sort of a scandal with the goods being offered for a cheap after an analyst discovered that the items are mostly faulty.
The analyst revealed that the tablets, in particular, are full of vulnerabilities, security misconfigurations and even security backdoors. The researcher from Bluebox Labs found that the dozens of tablets they purchased during the Christmas sale period all came with security flaws which are worrying to say the least.
Apparently, only two tablets are considered as flawless throughout the promotion period and they are identified to be the Google Nexus 9 and also the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. Then again, both devices are Wi-Fi only models and are the least appealing of them all.
The researcher warned all those that are enjoying their new tablets today to refrain from doing any i-banking transactions as the poor security infrastructure puts them at risk of being targeted by phishing scams and hackers.
