If you were to look at the numbers right now, it does look like the Ford Mustang GT500 will have nothing to fear when the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 arrives but is that really the case.
We know that Chevrolet is looking to build an even more powerful Corvette called the Corvette ZR1 and that the vehicle will be coming with an upgraded engine. Rumor has it that the Corvette ZR1 will be offering about 700hp when it arrives although some poeple believe that they could even get the ZR1 to deliver about 750hp. The current top of the range model delivers about 650hp.
The Ford Mustang GT500, on the other hand, will be coming in with an 800hp engine which means the GT500 will be pushing out more but then again, the Corvette ZR1 should be a lot lighter than the GT500 and that should help with it the edge it needs to take down the powerful Mustang.
