Aston Martin Set For Redesign After Tying Up Deal With Mercedes

One of the most prestigious names in the automobile industry is Aston Martin. Every car enthusiasts can tell an Aston Martin car just by looking at its trademark grille but soon, this will change.

The British carmaker is planning to give a new look to future Aston Martin cars, starting with the next DB9. The announcement was made after Aston Martin secured a deal with Mercedes-AMG.

The latter will be the developing the powertrains for upcoming models, provide in-dash infotainment systems, electronic safety aids and the engine management software.

Then again, it won’t be the same Aston Martin without that vicious grille. It is unsure on what could have triggered this new direction but there is a possibility that Ford is responsible for it. The American company owned Aston Martin from 1994 to 2007, which saw many Ford vehicles having the signature grille.

As such, Aston Martin has gone back to the drawing boards in a bid to develop a new trademark look for the next-gen vehicles. Of course, the world will surely miss the typical Aston Martin like how it was portrayed in the James Bond movies.
