You would think that with the Samsung Note 7 out of the picture last year, the Apple iPhone 7 would be the one that benefits the most from it but that is not the case here.
Stephen Baker, an NPD Hardware analyst reported that even without the Note 7, Samsung still managed to hold their ground. He added that the loyal fans just opted for another Samsung Galaxy model instead of going for another model from another brand like the Apple iPhone 7.
Others think that after the Note 7, the Apple iPhone 7 did not look that impressive. Its upgrade was minimal and people just did not think that it would be a good replacement for the Note 7 at the end of the day.
With all the rumored upgrades that the Apple iPhone 8 will be getting and Samsung’s goal to redeem themselves this year, it will be interesting to see which of the two will come out on top this year.
