Looking at how well the Dodge Challenger is doing now in the market, you would not think that it is actually a pretty on model that is in need of an upgrade. The current model was introduced in 2008 but the vehicle is still going strong. In fact, the old Dodge Challenger manage to beat the new Chevrolet Camaro.
As amazing as that sound, Dodge is not looking to relax anytime soon as they announce that they will be developing their new next gen Dodge Challenger. According to the report, the new Dodge Challenger will come in with a rear wheel drive platform which means it will be coming with a smaller and lighter body which will hopefully help improve the driving experience of the Challenger.
It is believed that the new Dodge Challenger will be coming in with a V6 and V8 engine and that the Challenger SRT Hellcat model will be able to deliver an impressive 750hp when it arrives. The Challenger will be coming in to compete with models like the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang.
According to Automobile, the new Dodge Challenger should be coming in at the end of 2018.
