Honda has been slowing converting their vehicle’s engine from standard engines to turbos and we know that if that is the path Honda is looking to take, Toyota will soon be going down that path as well.
It has been speculated that the Honda Accord will be coming in with the same platform as the Honda Civic and if that is the case, it is highly possible that the Honda Accord could actually be fitted with the 1.5-liter turbo four engine that the Honda Civic is currently running on.
The arriving of the 174hp engine should not only help reduce the weight of the vehicle but also improve the fuel economy of the Honda Accord. If the Accord does get turbo up, it is highly possible that Toyota will also come out with a Toyota Camry that will run on a turbo engine as well, possibly the 2.0-liter turbo four engine.
Along with the new Prius TNGA platform, the new Toyota Camry might be the one to watch out for.
