The Subaru WRX STi is still very popular right now although it is not as popular as it once was. With so many new rivals in the market, and the Subaru WRX STi slow progress rate, the performance model is slowly losing its appeal and some people think that offering a hatch model might save it.
It seems like people can’t get enough of hot hatches nowadays and automakers are all scrambling to upgrade and offer their own performance hatch. The only one that does not seem to interesting in the whole hot hatch hype is Subaru.
Fans have bee begging Subaru to produce a hatchback version of their Subaru WRX STi but Subaru has never indicated that a hot hatch is part of their future plan. Maybe if the Subaru WRX STi sales continue to drop, they would start considering it definitely not right now.
