One of the biggest disappointment at CES this year was the missing Nissan Leaf. We were all expecting Nissan to reveal more about the vehicle but that did not happen. Instead, all Nissan had to show was their upcoming new autopilot feature.
Fans of the Nissan Leaf have been waiting for Nissan to release an upgraded version of the Nissan Leaf for some time now. The model we have in the market right now is outdated and is in serious need of an upgrade.
What most people would like to see is for the Nissan Leaf to offer more range. There are some people that believe that the new Nissan Leaf might come with the new e-Power powertrain, a hybrid powertrain and pushes the vehicle with electric but uses a gasoline engine to generate power for the battery. There is no need to charge the powertrain because of the gasoline engine.
Nissan did not say if the engine was going to power the Leaf but they did reveal that the first model to be fitted with the new powertrain will be the Nissan Note e-Power.
