We still do not know what Mazda has planned for the Mazda CX-5. What we know is that the 2018 model will be coming in with an upgraded design and updated features. However, new reports are now suggesting that Mazda is turning the Mazda CX-5 into a premium model.
That means the Mazda CX-5 will come with a few more features and tech. There were also speculations about the Mazda CX-5 possibly coming in with the new engine that we all saw when Mazda announce the new Mazda CX-9. The new engine will help solve all the performance problem that their users have been having.
With all that upgrades, it will also mean that the Mazda CX-5 will come with a bigger price tag now. If that happens, Mazda will widen the gap between the Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-5 and that will leave a big enough gap for Mazda to slip in the Mazda CX-4.
