While the infotainment system is not the main reason why the consumers decide to buy a certain model and not the other, it still plays a huge role when the consumers are trying to decide. Mazda has already made it clear that they don’t plan to offer the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support on their models right now but luckily, potential buyers won’t have to wait for Mazda to enjoy all the perks that come with the Android Auto features.
Thanks to Google, all Android users can use download the app from the Playstore and run the app on their smart device. When the app was first released, the app did not come with the OK Google feature which means users will have to manually click on the microphone to use the voice command but the OK Google has since been added to the device.
With the app, Android users can use all the features that come with the Android Auto app so they won’t have to wait for Mazda anymore. The same cannot be said for the iOS users.
The app will work on any Android device that runs on the Android 5.0 and above.
