We still do not know much about the Ford Mustang GT500. We know that Ford is currently working on it. Initial rumors suggest that the Ford Mustang GT500 might be coming in with an 800hp engine and now, new rumors are saying that there might be a V8 engine under the hood.
If all of these turns out to be true, should Chevrolet be worried? According to Chevrolet, they will be working on a new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 model that will be coming in with an upgraded engine.
The ZR1 will be powered by a 700hp or more engine, a huge jump from the 650hp engine that the Corvette is currently running on. We also know that the Corvette ZR1 is going to be much lighter than the Mustang GT500.
