The Ford Mustang will be coming in with a powerful engine but with all the extra baggage that the Mustang has to carry, the new Ford Mustang GT500 might not even have what it takes to take on the Chevrolet Corvette.
No, we are not talking about the current 650hp Corvette but the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZL1 model. Chevrolet will be giving the model a powertrain upgrade. The new numbers have not been announcing yet but it is believed that after the upgrade, the Chevrolet Corvette ZL1 will be able to deliver about 700 to 750hp.
The Ford Mustang GT500 deliver about 800hp now but since the Corvette is going to be a lot lighter than the Mustang, these two might be a lot closer than it looks.
