The Hyundai Tuscon was just awarded the Top Safety Pick Plus safety rating by IIHS making it one of the safest compact in the market. Will the Toyota RAV4 have what it takes to take on the Hyundai Tuscon?
The Hyundai Tuscon will be coming in with a 2.0-liter engine that will be delivering about 164hp and 151Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission and will return about 23mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway. Besides getting a Top Safety Pick Plus rating, the Tuscon was also given a five-star rating from NHTSA for its overall safety. The Hyundai i10 will retail for $21,866.
The Toyota RAV4 will be coming in with a 2.5-liter engine that will be delivering about 176hp and 172lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission. Toyota has yet to announce the fuel economy numbers yet but it is estimated that the Toyota RAV4 will be returning about 22 mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway.
