Some fans were far from happy when Porsche reveal that their 2017 Porsche 911 GTS will be going down the same route as the Carrera S. Porsche has made it clear that turbo engines will be part of their future which is why we were not surprised when Porsche announce that they will be fitting the 911 GTS with a turbo engine.
However, that did not sit well with the fans as many of them felt like the change would change what the Porsche 911 GTS is all about but things are not as bad as it seems. Not only will the 2017 Porsche 911 GTS have better performance now but according to Porsche, it will also be offered with a manual transmission option.
Under the hood of the Porsche 911 GTS is a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged six cylinder engine. We do not know how much the 911 GTS will be offering but the same engine was able to offer 420hp on the Carrera S.
The new Porsche 911 GTS should be arriving next year.
