The Mazda MX-5 RF new roof is not the only new feature that the vehicle will be sporting. Besides the roof, the Mazda MX-5 RF is also fitted with an upgraded suspension bushings and bump stop so that the car is easier to control.
According to Motortrend who took the car out for a ride, the upgrade mean that the Mazda MX-5 RF was easier to control, easier to predict and has a better balance. They added that the car still leans but at least it feels like the car is still under control now.
Despite all the additional weight that the Mazda CX-5 RF has to carry, it turns out that it is a better model to drive around in thanks to the upgrades that the Mazda made.
According to Motortrend, the extra weight did mean that the Mazda MX-5 RF will now need 0.2 seconds more to hit 30mph and 0.6 seconds more to get to 60mph compared to the roadster but they added that the difference won’t be felt be the driver at all.
The new 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF model will retail from $33,455. The auto transmission will cost an additional $730 on the base model.
