2017 Mazda CX-5: Better Ride Can’t Hide Poor Tech

With all the new tech that Mazda fitted onto the Mazda CX-5, the Mazda CX-5 is expected to come with a better ride quality. While that might be true, is the rest the Mazda CX-5 on–par with the ride quality.

Some people were not too pleased with the interior of the Mazda CX-5 is the past but the new model will be coming in with an upgraded interior based on the CX-9 model. Not only did they upgrade the design but the CX-5 is also better insulated now thanks to the modified seams and upgraded acoustic glass.

However, Mazda decided to keep their operating system this time. Even though Mazda has already announced that the Apple CarPlay support will be coming soon, users will still have to deal with the old operating system while they wait.

Then there is the engine, while we are excited that the Mazda CX-5 will finally be getting the diesel engine, the diesel engine will only be arriving later this year and the only engine option that we will be getting from the start is the 2.5 liters in-line 4 engine. Fans were also not too happy about the missing manual transmission.

So while the new CX-5 is better than the last model, it is still far from being the perfect SUV that we all want.
